Professional Bows

Earlier this week, Mike and I went to a fancy little political event to meet Bob Rae. Mike is definitely the political pirate in this couple (I can be pretty clueless about this kind of thing) but it was still a cool experience. At the event, Bob was making rounds and meeting everyone, and when he came up to talk to us, the news camera crews just SWARMED us. Most likely because we were young people at a political event. It was SO intimidating, especially since I am already super super awkward around celebrities and important people and whatnot. So embarrassing. But we watched the news later and there was a clip of Mike talking to Bob! I have such an important boyfriend hehe :)

So this is the type of outfit Angela picks out when she is strained for time and has to scurry off to a political event. I threw on the blazer for a bit of professionalism and such. But even when I'm dressed "professionally" I still manage to incorporate a quirky bow pattern. I look so serious in these pictures. I'm not actually this serious about everything, I promise. This is probably just my game face for meeting politicians.

  1. Such a cute dress! I'm not a big politics person, either. I can be pretty clueless myself! And that swarm of news people sounds AWFUL. I'd be so annoyed!

  6. you are too cute! I love your quirky way of interpreting "professional." I usually have no idea how to make business-style dressing fit in my aesthetic.
